Indian Olympic Squad promises to win more medals than Pakistan

London: The Indian Olympic squad has had a dismal run at the 2012 Olympics so far. The only silver lining has been a bronze medal performance by Gagan Narang in the men’s 10m air rifle shooting event.

There were high hopes from the Indian Hockey team but the team refuses to learn from mistakes and has faced repeated losses. The Indian Tennis squad lost their chances even before reaching the Olympics venue. The team was caught up in bitter inter-team rivalry and refused to team up for the event.

Despite all the disappointments and negative press coverage team manager P.K.M Raja was upbeat on the team performance. “We expect to bag more medals than Pakistan. Beating Pakistan is all that matters to Indians. So far we have 1 bronze and they have Zero.” “We are hoping and praying that it stays this way through the next week and we can return home as victors”, he added with a smile.

The Indian Olympic Association has planned a huge reception and welcome party for the Indian delegation when they return. The party is obviously being organized by none other than Mr. Suresh Kalmadi and will feature a Brass Band from Lucknow and a Bhangra Beats dance party from Ludhiana. The event will also be attended by special guest Shri Lalit Modi and his cheer-girl entourage.
