New York: The friendly neighborhood Spiderman was greeted with a not-so-friendly bill from the city authorities to cleanup all the webs that were left behind after the super hero was done fighting with the Green Goblin and Octopus Man. Spiderman has been busy shooting for his latest sequel “The Amazing Spiderman” in NYC.
The city has been struggling with financial woes due to the slowing economy and falling home prices. NYC sanitation department spokesman Herbert Schills told new reporters that cleaning up after Spiderman costs the city anywhere from $1.3 to $2.7 million each year. The city has to hire a special crew of dare-devil window cleaners to remove all the webs left dangling off the high rise buildings in the city.
The city has also requested the superhero to cut back on his use of webs and avoid recreational swinging across the city skyline. The ongoing financial crisis is expected to bring more austerity measures on the city.
