THE Kolkata Mint is facing heavy criticism for its decision to put MTV roadies Raghu Ramalingam popularly known as Raghu Ram on the new 1 rupee note to be released later this year. He is rumored to be the reincarnation of Mahatma Gandhi.
The MTV Roadies star, who is rumored to carry the Olympic torch for 2012 Olympics for the Indian contingent and played a leading role in a number of Bollywood movies, will be pictured in shades doing hip hop hands over his signature MTV roadies phrases. “I have strong points of view about society, culture, what is permissible and what is not, about attitudes and things that have led to many of the problems around us. Till these attitudes don’t change, the problems won’t go away either. These things infuriate me.” ‘I am intolerant to intolerance.’ says Raghu. “. I am excited to be part of the Indian currency because of my striking resemblance with the father of the nation”. It is believed that Raghu was introduced to the royal Indian family (A.K.A Gandhi family) by a standing M.P (Member of Parliament), who saw him on TV discussing Palak’s(http://www.siasat.com/english/news/mtv-roadie-sex-video) outrageous sluttiness.
Raghu Ram will mark the unveiling of his 1 rupee note at the next month’s Kolkata Mint’s opening.
