Mumbai: While the parched city of Mumbai waited desperately for rains, HurricaneHansa learned that nearly 15 water tankers and rain machines were called to Film city studio. Suspecting that there was a huge fire, this ardent movie fan rushed to ensure that everyone was alright. While heaving a sigh of relief that it was a false alarm, I learnt from my network that the tankers were brought in to supply water for the shooting of Sonakshi Sinha’s item song “Go Go Govinda” for Akshay Kumar’s production “Oh My God”.
The song initially featured Sonakshi being carried by the “Dahi-Handi” (yogurt clay pot) breakers. Since Sonakshi insisted on performing the act of breaking the pot herself, it was decided she would stand on the shoulders of about 12 people and the rest of the 5 storey pyramid would be created with special effects. However, despite several retakes of the shot, the 12 people deemed “bodybuilders” by the producer Akshay Kumar, failed to lift Sonakshi.
Now daahlings, since yours truly who doesn’t need an introduction in the Bollywood camps, was immediately asked for a few suggestions on improvisation. While trying to assess the situation, I conducted interviews with the starlet and the producer. “I am not fat, I am big boned. Also these puny guys are useless. What kind of men have a hard time lifting a girl?” huffed Sonakshi.
Meanwhile a dismayed Akshay repeatedly said, “Oh My God, I just don’t get it”! Post analysis, I made a few suggestions, which were promptly accepted. And no, it doesnt involve replacing the 12 bodybuilders with a crane! Although feasible, it would definitely blow the budget.
“Dahi-Handi” will now be broken by a pyramid of guys, while Sonakshi will dance in front of the monstrous water tankers, thereby making her look petite and slender in comparison! Carpe Diem my Bollywood daahlings, I am here for you! …….…..Stay tuned in for further information about the movie on Bollywood Billi.
